Since 1972, I have been in woodworking from building furniture to home construction. I
built my first bow in 1978, under the guidance of a very good friend, Jim Brackenbury. I
built bows, in Jim's shop, off and on until the late 1980's. I began building bows full
time with Jim in 1988 . Six months after Jims death in 1991, I started my own
company as a full time occupation.
I was fortunate to have Jim
Brackenbury as a great teacher and friend. He was my mentor. In remembrance of Jim, I
named my top of the line recurve the "Mentor".
I strive to keep the quality of my
bows consistent by working by myself with my wife, Paula, helping me with the paperwork
and shipping. We have our home and shop on 7 acres in rural Beavercreek, south of
Portland. I have a 3D archery course and target butts which gives customers a chance to
try out my bows.
The bows I build will always be a
